Palo Cristi Presbyterian Church
Where God's welcoming love is shared with everyone
Worship at Palo Cristi
Palo Cristi is first and foremost a worshiping community. The congregation gathers each Sunday morning at 9:30 to praise and worship God.
Additional services throughout the year include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday / Good Friday, Easter Sunrise Service, and Christmas Eve.
What might a visitor find at a worship service at Palo Cristi?
The Lord's Supper is celebrated the first Sunday of each month, and at various special services, including Easter, Pentecost, and Christmas Eve. All who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ (or sincerely want to) are invited to partake.
Music is an essential part of worship, not only congregational songs and hymns, but the special offerings of our bell choir, vocal choir, and music director, along with congregational members and occasional guest musicians who share their vocal and instrumental talents. All serve to enrich our worship, and provide great blessings to both the musicians and congregation.
Summer Worship Themes
During the summer we are exploring themes from the Epistle to the Ephesians, and especially emphasizing the stories of David from 2nd Samuel.
Palo Cristi is unlike many other churches in that its worship services are planned by a dedicated team of lay people working with the pastor. Liturgy, flow, songs, and other elements are carefully planned, but the Planning Team is not afraid to try new things, knowing that God will honor all sincere attempts to praise God and share God's message with the congregation.
